I want to thank the owner of this company for offering to refund my money on flooring that I ordered on June 5th. I called the store the 1st week in July to check on the order and he told me they had the materials and scheduled an install date of August 1st. I scheduled time off work to be here for the installation. On 7/31 I attempted to call their store to confirm the installation but no answer (busy signal on the phone ). On 8/1 I waited until their store opened at 10 to call and ask what time I could expect their workers. I was told I was not on their schedule at all for any date and they would call me back within 30 minutes. I thought about it and called back before that and spoke with owner. He was flustered and after I told him I took time off work he was past taking responsibility for his mistake. He proceeded to talk over me and berated me for being upset that the installation was not going to happen . He insisted it was my fault for taking time off as he said he tells all of his customers not to take time off in case he can’t make his agreed upon work date. (If only he could realize how absurd that statement is and how it indicates their reliability or lack thereof). He never stated this when scheduling. Said he had to figure out what happened. A quick insight (30 seconds and not minutes) would suggest that he didn’t follow through and put me on the schedule. His first response was not to accommodate me but to offer my money back and tell me I had a poor attitude. At that point I agreed that would be the best solution because if he does not have the integrity to admit his mistake, it is obvious if there are issues with the work performed the same result could be expected. So thank you for not doing your job. I have been spared the possibility of the same quality of work as your customer service.
